Eddie took the best part of an hour to properly wake up and shrug off whatever it was that he was frightened off. That it was something indescribable and invisible that made a big noise was about as much as I could discern. He kept trying to leap out of the way of it, and wouldn't let go of me.
It's a scary time for the little people, but I posted a poem called 'Covid Sleep' on Facebook and the comments made me realise what a scary time it is for the big people, too. Plenty of my friends wrote of their own nightmares in recent weeks.
