This is the latest installation at our house:
My twenty-year old self would have mocked such symbols blatently promoting domesticity. Nearly two decades later I find it strangely comforting: suggesting order from chaos and dog-walking and safely splashing in muddy puddles.
Actually, I think it just makes me feel grown-up...

Thank God we don't stay twenty.
ReplyDeleteThat is perfect...except for maybe the fact that there are three little pairs of boots. I don't know how y'all do it. I have one little pair of boots in the house...and I'm losing. Gettin' whipped.
Help.
In fairness, the littlest one can't yet walk in his boots, so it was a little bit presumptious of me to put them there. It's an illusion of control. They run rings round me every day. Even the one that can't yet run.
DeleteAnd so it should.... nothing like a bit of welly organisation to make you realise you're all grown up and stuff...
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly a good pretence!
